Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registered Nurses may apply with experience working with acute mental health presentations (1+ years) RN applicants must be registered with CARNA. Demonstrated awareness of common psychiatric medications and mental status examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills. NVCI training (full course). Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Ability to maintain long-term professional working relationships. Suicide risk assessment training.
