Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program. Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as Primary Care Paramedic. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six (6) months prior to the application date.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum two years of Registered Primary Care Paramedic experience. Experience working with marginalized and/or diverse populations, particularly the homeless and people who use substances. Experience working within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge and experience utilizing the principles and practice of harm reduction, including prevention, recognition and response to opioid overdose. Knowledge of problems encountered by Indigenous people in using health care services, and of health care systems providing care to Indigenous people. Knowledge of an Indigenous language.
