Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Leader in collaborative practice. Strong communication skills - verbal and written required. Participation in a unit or site based quality Improvement or safety council or other unit workflow review committee within previous year required.
Preferred Qualifications:Current experience as a Registered Nurse in Gynecology/Colorectal Surgical Nursing preferred. Certification in PCA/PCEA/CVC care an asset Heavy lifting as well as repetitive movements are necessary during the course of performing duties on this unit. Well-developed computer skills preferred. Strong team and leadership skills preferred.
