Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a Diploma of Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree preferred, with minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Nursing in Mental Health, Home Care, Geriatrics or Transition Services. Equivalencies with strong adult medical/surgical clinical background will be considered. Strong level of computer skills. Physically able to manage (30 lbs) lifting, pulling, pushing and up to 5 km walking as part of the role. Sound organizational, oral and written communication skills; high level of independence and decision-making ability. Excellent conflict management and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous mental health, geriatric or community experience. Previous experience partnering with mental health, allied health and external partners (SL and LTC). Understands and is able to identify standards and philosophical principles for Case Management. Experience with RAI-HC, PARIS, Strata Health pathways and SCM.
