Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five (5) years recent experience in a clinical setting, including experience in clinical areas that require high levels of independent assessment, and triage skills. They will also require recent experience working with diverse client populations and clinical issues including young families and seniors. Interacting with clients over the telephone, Nursing telephone triage, and Mental Health training and/or experience is required. They will also have the ability to successfully deal with stress in a high call volume contact center, in addition, they will be able to work comfortably with a variety of computer databases. A minimum typing speed of 28 WPM is a must. Intermediate computer skills are also a requirement for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred.
