Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience or training in the field of comprehensive sexual health (within the past 5 years) Minimum 3 years of current, direct patient care nursing experience. STI testing & treatment & contraceptive knowledge and training. Experience & training in responding to disclosures of sexual assault and/or abuse. Experience and/or training working with vulnerable youth. Experience & training providing pregnancy options support counselling (abortion, adoption and pregnancy continuation). Physically able to perform all assigned tasks (lifting/supporting greater than 25 lbs). Ability to handle periods of intense activity. Self-directed & able to exercise independent nursing judgement in a clinical situation. Critical thinking and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented. Specialized training in interpersonal, communication and/or counselling/crisis management. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Harm-Reduction, trauma-Informed care & experience. Knowledge of community based support services.
