Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong crisis management, verbal de-escalation, and situational/safety awareness skills. Must have current It’s Your Move (IYM) certification. Employer provided Suicide Risk Management, and Prevention of Harassment and Violence (PoHV) or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Must be able to lift 30lbs, climb five flights of stairs, and quickly ambulate. Eligible for fleet vehicle use. Experience in addictions and/or mental health practice settings.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act. 3 years of experience in high-acuity addiction and/or mental health settings, community preferred, specifically those with chronic, persistent, and pervasive mental health concerns. Experience with evidence-based modalities. Concurrent capability inclusive of trauma informed care. Working knowledge of LOCUS, experience using electronic medical records, and strong skills in word processing.
