Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:The ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities is essential. The candidate must be able to work within a team environment and to effectively contribute to patient/client planning processes. Excellent communication skills, a compassionate and caring attitude, and attention to detail are necessary. Able to lift 25-50 pounds, must not have current activity restrictions, such as pulling, pushing, reaching and bending. The candidate must have proficiency in Connect Care documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:Computer experience is preferred. Have experience with working in a collaborative nursing care model. Have a minimum 6 months of experience working on a Medicine/Emergency/Surgery/Ortho unit.
