Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Successful candidates are responsible for providing proof of active registration with CARNA, and to maintain registration throughout the employment relationship. Minimum of 2 years, recent experience (within the last 3-5 years), in an Ambulatory Care/Outpatient/IV Therapy setting is required. Training and experience utilizing eClinician; both for scheduling and EMR. Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment, constant walking, lifting and bending necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is preferred. PICC experience is preferred. Mastery in comprehensive patient assessment and decision making. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and independence of nursing practice in a highly functional team environment (balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities). Strong critical thinking skills, along with demonstrated time-management and organization skills in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated expertise in adult teaching and education.
