Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills. Strong ability to work in a collaborative team demonstrating adaptability and flexibility from day to day. Proven critical thinking, decision-making and assessment skills. Demonstrated ability to monitor financial accountabilities. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks which may involve physical exertion not limited to climbing stairs, walking outside, lifting, pulling-pushing, stooping and carrying which may involve visits to client homes that are not ideal. IV certification is required. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment. Two years within the last five years nursing experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of Home Care experience preferred. Experience in providing case management preferred. Experience in Home Parenteral Therapy (HPT); wound, skin and ostomy care; client teaching; palliative support an asset. Knowledge of Meditech. Service Authorization, RAI-HC and McMaster Case Management an asset.
