Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated excellent assessment, documentation, clinical, organizational and patient care skills, and proficient at medication administration calculations. Ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Strong interpersonal, stress management, conflict management and problem solving skills. Must be able to identify own learning needs and seek guidance in professional practice where knowledge deficit occurs.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous OBS/Cardiac/Pediatric experience. A member of the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses (CACCN). Wound Care Experience and/or Certification. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC). Certifications with: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
