Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills required. Demonstrated reliability required. Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Basic computer skills are required. Candidates are required to write a medication calculation exam on interview; Failure to achieve a passing mark on the exam nay impact the decision to hire.
Preferred Qualifications:Charge nurse experience preferred. At least 1-2 years previous surgical experience preferred. Urology, Bariatric, General Surgery IV, PCA, epidural, TPN, Drains, Wound Care experience preferred.
