Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Certification and recent experience in direct IV push drug administration preferred and IV start proficiency are required. A demonstrated knowledge of Gastroenterology/Pulmonary medicine as well as anatomy and physiology of the GI/Respiratory systems are required. Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting is required. Ability to work in a fast paced team environment required.
Preferred Qualifications:2 years nursing experience with Emergency or ICU or PACU preferred. Recent experience in Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy preferred. Computer literacy is preferred.
