Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 to 2 recent years of Day Surgery experience required. Patient teaching experience required. Well-developed organizational skills required. Ability to prioritize in rapidly changing environment. Strong critical thinking and communication skills. Demonstrated initiative and independence in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 3 to 5 recent years as a Registered Nurse in an acute inpatient surgical nursing Unit preferred.
