Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Greater than 2 year’s full time internal medicine/medical teaching or cardiology unit RN experience or recently completed a final focus in critical care (within last 6 months).
Preferred Qualifications:Previous Critical Care Experience. Certificate in Adult Critical Care Nursing, ACLS, Degree in Nursing, & Completion of Critical Care Advance certifications. Strong physical assessment & decision-making skills & ability to work effectively in stressful & emergent situations. Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills, the ability to work cooperatively & collaboratively with the inter-professional team. Experience with patient & family centered care & collaborative practice.
