Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current or recent (within the last 6 months) experience in an Intensive Care/ Coronary Care Unit. Strong physical assessment & decision-making skills & ability to work effectively in stressful & emergent situations. Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills, the ability to work cooperatively & collaboratively with the inter-professional team. Experience with patient & family centered care & collaborative practice.
Preferred Qualifications:Certificate in Adult Critical Care Nursing, ACLS, Degree in Nursing, & Completion of Critical Care Advance certifications.
