Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Two years of recent nursing experience (obtained within the last five years). Previous pediatric experience required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated assessment, education and referral skills. Proven critical thinking and decision making skills. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks (equipment/lifting 20-30lbs). Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation. Basic computer skills are required. Computer skills an asset (PARIS, SCM, MS Office/Outlook). Must be a team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered. Knowledge of challenges associated with chronic disease management. Previous community experiences a definite asset.
