Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years current experience with Health Beginnings Post Partum program. Ability to be self-directed and to exercise independent nursing judgment Strong interpersonal skills. Experience in multidisciplinary team work. Strong clinical, analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills required. Experience working with teens, diverse cultures, and marginalized populations. Knowledge of the determinants of health required.Strong written and oral communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in the community sector will be considered.
