Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous Acute Care, Obstetrics, and Emergency experience required. Basic computer skills required. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid moving, and complex environment. Demonstrated advanced problem solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment. Demonstrated communication skills promoting respect and team spirit. Demonstrated ability to balance demands of working in multiple departments in a single shift as necessary. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills. Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions. Demonstrate initiative, reliability and flexibility and critical thinking. Able to handle change effectively. This is an RN float Nurse position within the departments of Acute Care (including Obstetrics) and Emergency. The successful candidate will be expected to work in any of these departments to meet patient care and staffing needs. A detailed orientation will be provided for each of these departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current CAM A, LEADs II, CTAS, Trauma 101, Pediatric Building Blocks, Pediatric Arrest Management, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, Fetal Heart Surveillance, and STORC are preferred.
