Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of five years current nursing experience at least three of which are Critical Care in a tertiary level setting required. Experience in Hemodynamic monitoring. Experience in arrhythmia interpretation. Regional certification in IV, IV medication administration, CVC, and PCA pumps. Certification in airway management.
Preferred Qualifications:Certification in IV therapy, blood glucose monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred. Previous experience in Diagnostic imaging interventional and angiography procedures desired. Emergency, ICU/CCU experience an asset. ACLS certification an asset.
