Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Two years of recent experience in geriatric psychiatry, dementia care or related settings. The ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities is essential. Ability to recognize and manage the needs of dementia patients. Excellent time management skills, proven dependability and proactive with independent learning needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training preferred, certificate in Dementia Capable Training, Supportive Pathways or other dementia related course, I.V. certification and Alaris pump training preferred, Connect Care.
