Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:At least 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience. Strong physical assessment skills. Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively in stressful and emergent situations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other members of the inter-professional team. Maintenance of clinical competence and proficiency. Accountability for own professional practice. OPACCA or equivalent program.
Preferred Qualifications:ICU Experience preferred. ACCN certification. Experience with patient and family centered care and collaborative practice is a strong asset. PALS. ACLS.
