Minimum Salary: $36.86

Maximum Salary: $48.37

Vehicle Requirement: Driver's License, Vehicle Required

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

2 years Parenteral Nutrition/Enteral Therapy experience. 5 years recent inpatient Medicine and Surgery experience. 1 year Ambulatory care experience. 1 year Pediatric experience (prefer with central lines). Complex wound and ostomy management. 2 years central line experience. Must be able to do rotating on call after hours. Ability to function independently and as a member of the multidiscipline team. Be self-guided in learning opportunities. Critical thinking and problem solving skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and phone etiquette. Familiar with community resources. Experience with electronic medical record i.e. Connect Care (1 year), Netcare, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and e-people. Must be able to drive in all weather conditions to conduct home visits and visit other AHS sites. Must be able to push, pull, and transfer weights in access of 250 lbs. Must be able to bend, knee, and squat throughout the course of a day to provide patient care. Must be able to do on call.

Preferred Qualifications:

Home Care experience is essential. Patient, caregiver and staff teaching experience essential. Nurse are required to assist with mobility of patients while in clinic, hospital and home prn. Required to stand/sit for long periods of time while teaching patients/families. Must be able to respond to urgent and emergent care requests from patients and their families. Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Familiar with community resources.
