Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Required: Physically able to work in a high paced, variable and unpredictable department that has competing priorities, must be able to lift, bend, sit, squat, throughout shift and able walk a minimum of 3 kms per shift including stairs while carrying or pulling resource materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Due to location and physical set up of current location –Bethany Care Center Calgary, staff are expected to navigate long hallways, and use of flights of stairs (e.g. Renovations or unavailable use of elevator). Able to perform physical requirements such as standing for an extended period (walking and standing). Must be able to provide physical assistance to clients in an acute care setting and physically able to intervene to ensure client safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

2-3 years current or previos experience with Transition Services,IHC, ISFL or Community. Familiar with multi use of system (Paris,Strat pathways,SCM,Netcare,Home First). Current or previous certified with RAI/RAI 2.0. Proficient in use of computer.
