Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
Preferred Qualifications:Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) required. Must have at least 2 years recent experience working within an Addiction and Mental Health role preferably in an acute psych hospital setting. Working knowledge of mental health across populations, Mental Health Act and of DSM V. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing. Proficiency and understanding of computer systems: MediTech and other relevant programs.
