Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Two (2) years’ within the last three (3) years’ acute care experience. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting and transferring of patients.
Preferred Qualifications:IV certification, demonstrated competence with PCA, VAC Dressings, Capnography Monitoring. Two (2) years’ within the last three (3) years’ short stay experience preferred. Charge nurse experience and leadership training are desirable. Certification in medical surgical nursing.
