Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated computer proficiency. Knowledge of nursing standards/protocols as required in the area of specialty. Knowledge of scope of practice as defined by CARNA. Knowledge of CNA Code of Ethics.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree with experience in Home Care; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in a community sector will be considered. Applicants with a diploma in nursing and three years recent experience in Home Care, Seniors Health or acute care may be considered. Certification in gerontology, palliative care, wound care and/or foot care an asset.
