Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

BScN required. A minimum 3 years recent acute care pediatric experience and at least 2 years spent in a clinical setting is required. Experience working with diverse pediatric groups and current case management in providing client assessment, counseling, education, and research (e.g., acute care, outpatient, community, home care). Demonstrated and excellent teaching abilities with children and families required. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Travel may be required for consultation/collaboration (e.g. meetings with colleagues at different AHS sites; home visits with families). One year experience working with children and families in obesity and chronic disease management required. Travel may be required for consultation/collaboration (e.g., meetings with colleagues at different AHS sites; home visits with families). Must successfully pass the Stollery Medication Administration exam with 90% or more which is done at the time of the interview.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Health change methodology training preferred. Masters preferred.
