Required Qualifications:

Completion of a certificate from an accredited Dental Assisting Program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective organizational, planning and time management abilities. Demonstrates accountable, ethical practice and professionalism in working with clients, peers, and other health care providers, and the public in a culturally competent manner. Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to change with high standards of professionalism and diligence with the ability to work in a fast paced, at times stressful, and challenging environment. Ability to be self-directed and exercise strong independent clinical judgment. Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills. If required, the Ability to stand, twist, lean, walk, bend and reach for the majority of the shift and continued use of personal protective equipment. Must also be able to raise arms above head to appropriately don and doff PPE as well as lift equipment and supplies. Demonstrated competency with computer applications to complete timely clinical documentation. Experience in triaging and advising clients who present with varied and often complex issues and/or problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current BLS-HCP. Experience with COVID-19 testing. Cross-cultural competence and experience working with complex, vulnerable populations. Experience working in a virtual team environment.
