Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program. Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six months prior to the application date.
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) Advanced Care Paramedic approved program. Active registration and practice permit with the ACP. Heart and Stroke Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BCLS-HCP) certification (Level C). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator’s License with no more than six (6) demerits.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education. Additional Education relevant to the position. Leadership experience. Experience in Tactical Paramedic, Flight Paramedic, or Incident Response Paramedic. Experience working in: Metro EMS, Suburban-Rural EMS or Intra-facility transport. Experience with the practices & procedures within the Calgary Zone; within the past 3 years. Active casual in the Calgary Zone. Successful completion: Temporary-Full-time position within the team where the vacancy exists.
