Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program. Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Must hold a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits. Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test taken no more than six months prior to the application date.
Additional Required Qualifications:Two years of Registered Advanced Care Paramedic experience. Leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Experience working with marginalized and/or diverse populations, particularly the homeless and people who use drugs.
Preferred Qualifications:Two years of Registered EMT Paramedic experience is preferred. Knowledge and experience utilizing the principles and practice of harm reduction, including prevention, recognition and response to opioid overdose. Experience working with marginalized and/or diverse populations. Knowledge of problems encountered by Indigenous people in using health care services, and of health care systems providing care to Indigenous people. Knowledge of an Indigenous language.
