Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies. Active or eligible registration for Professional Membership with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA). Minimum three years' related clinical experience as a Recreation Therapist.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience. Minimum of one (1) years’ experience within the last five (5) years in Continuing Care, Brain Injury, Mental Health or other relevant clinical area. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with elderly or vulnerable populations, brain injury, addiction and mental health or developmental disability patients. Knowledge of Continuing Care service options, assessment/placement criteria, and community supports and agencies that serve behaviorally complex patients. Additional preparation in Mental Health. PIECES, Supportive Pathways, NVCI, capacity assessment or other related education. Case management education. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
