Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies. Active or eligible registration for Professional Membership with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies. Active or eligible registration for Professional Membership with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA). Minimum of one years experience in forensic psychiatry. Two or more years working within an inpatient mental health setting Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and providing clinical support and consultation. Excellent communication skills both written, e-mail and verbal. Non violent Crisis Intervention training. (NVCI). Collaborative Problem Solving training. (CPS).

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge regarding the Not Criminally Responsible Due to Mental Disorder (NCR-MD) and Alberta Review Board legislation.
