Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma in Social Work or Child and Youth Care or completion of Bachelor's Degree in Psychology .

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimal of a Diploma in a related Human Services field is required (such as Child Development, Social Service, and Addictions Counseling diplomas). Previous experience working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health crisis or illnesses is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Specific knowledge and skills related to suicide prevention, non-violent crisis intervention, patient and family centered care, personal goals setting, attachment parenting, stress management and coping skills is preferred. Completion of the Brain Story Certification Course would be an asset. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Child Development is preferred.
