Required Qualifications:

Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Doctoral level degree in professional psychology, including internship (preferably both from CPA accredited programs.) All requirements must be completed, including dissertation. Both graduate and internship training with an emphasis in assessment and treatment of pediatric populations with child maltreatment and associated developmental, medical and mental health issues. Completion of online TFCBT modules. Experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy to maltreated children and adolescents using the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy model.

Preferred Qualifications:

Specific experience in assessment and intervention with maltreated children. Knowledge and experience in Problematic Sexual Behaviour – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Experience in other empirically based modalities such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Connect Parenting and Circle of Security. Facilitation of group interventions. Experience testifying in court as an expert witness.
