Required Qualifications:

Completion of doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Formal training and experience with differential diagnosis of DSM-5 disorders is essential, including differential diagnosis of severe mental illness. Experience with integrated treatment of addictions and mental health with emphasis on prior experience with substance induced psychosis or mood disorders. The position requires a high level of clinical interviewing skills, with preference given to candidates with a comprehensive knowledge of common self-report and clinician rating tools (ex: MMPI-2 RF, PAI, SCID-5-CV SCID-5-PD); experience in the application and interpretation of performance assessment tools (ex: WAIS-IV, WRAT4, RBANS, SCIP, Rorschach) is also important. Tact and confidence in working in a multi-disciplinary context are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in clinical psychology and residency/internship in clinical psychology (APA or CPA accredited programs preferred). Graduate and post-graduate training and experience in the provision of individual and group cognitive behavioral therapy is a significant asset. Advanced training in developing and communicating psychological case formulations is desired. Experience with and interest in program evaluation is an asset.
