Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have a Master’s Degree in Clinical and/or Educational Psychology. A background in clinical or counseling psychology with at least two years of recent experience in providing assessments and individual/group interventions is required. CPR (BCLS) - Level C is also required. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable working vehicle. Ability to lift, handle and carry up to 30 pounds of equipment is required. Experience or certification in adult education required. Requires sitting and/or standing for long periods. Requires walking several blocks and climbing several flights of stairs. Requires packing, lifting and transporting equipment to and from community sites. Position requires travelling within the Edmonton zone. Requires working independently outside regular working hours in unique community settings and with diverse and vulnerable populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and training in approaches to chronic disease self-management is preferred. Specialized training in counseling people with chronic disease is an asset. Experience working with children/youth and their families is also an asset.
