Your Opportunity:

As a Psychologist I, you will work with or within teams to provide a range of standard level psychology services to patients and their families within the established standards, directives and policies for the work environment. Your services may include psychological screening and/or assessment, diagnosis, interventions, rehabilitation, prevention and promotion, as well as education activities. The primary focus of this position is assessment with youth between 13-18 years of age on an acute mental health inpatient unit. You will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals in assessing symptomology and planning services that align with best practice and ethical and professional standards. You will provide input to the interprofessional team related to psychological findings, barriers and dynamics that influence client treatment planning, participation, outcomes and team functioning, and consults/collaborates with teams and community services. Your duties may also include providing supervision to psychometrists, provisional psychologists and/or masters level psychology students, and providing input into program, policy and/or procedure development in addition to participating in formal research initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience conducting psycho-diagnostic and psycho-educational assessments with youth (ages 13-18 years old), providing feedback on assessment findings, and writing integrated reports. Competency in the administration and interpretation of standardized assessment measures, including cognitive measures (e.g., WISC-V), academic measures (e.g., WIAT-III), and symptom inventories (e.g., BASC-3, Conners 3).

Preferred Qualifications:

Competency in the administration and interpretation of assessment measures for personality constructs (e.g., MMPI-A RF, MACI). Competency in the administration and interpretation of assessment measures for autism (e.g., ADI-R, ADOS-2).
