Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a concentration in a people oriented specialty or acceptable equivalent obtained through education, training and experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a complex health environment and a minimum 5 years’ experience working in a unionized environment. Five years of progressive experience in a leadership role within a large, complex organization and experience managing multi-disciplinary teams accountable for politically sensitive and complex work. Experience working with Unions, managing and resolving issues in a collaborative manner. Experience and demonstrated ability interpreting and applying legislation and policy.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to effectively interact, communicate, influence and collaborate with a variety of partners and stakeholders including senior leaders, internal and external stakeholders. Ability to build and nurture innovative, collaborative relationships and partnerships. Superb problem solving and conflict management/resolution skills. Excellent judgement skills including the ability to consider human and organizational costs associated with conflict in the workplace. The ability to maintain, in strictest confidence, information concerning confidential matters and the ability to apply strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills to achieve positive outcomes.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certificate in Conflict Leadership, Alternate Dispute Resolution, or equivalent an asset. Experience in conflict resolution and/or alternative dispute resolution would be considered an asset. A Master’s Degree would be considered an asset. PROSCI Change Management certification preferred. Certified Diversity and Inclusion Professional would be considered an asset. Exposure to/understanding of an emergency services or paramilitary organizational construct would be an asset.
