Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s degree in a health-related field is required. Certification in health system leadership, change and project management would be an asset, but is not required. A minimum of five years’ experience in senior management in a complex health care setting or an organization of significant size. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Skills in negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution. Some local and provincial travel required. Knowledge and Skills will include: In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Extensive knowledge of the client group / function supported and best practices applicable to Acute Care Coordination. Facilitation and/or coordination experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Experience managing physical and human resources and related financial / statistical information. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in managing, supervising and leading staff. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, and client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Experience in coordinating research projects or teams, complex data analysis and/or interpretation, evaluation methodologies, and developing formal reports. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change. Strong management, strategic and systems thinking. Sound project management skills. Excellent analytical, judgment and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of health delivery systems. Knowledge of organizational theory and design. Knowledge of health performance/utilization data.
