Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Active or eligible for appointment as a Community Peace Officer I by the Alberta Solicitor General. Completion of the Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (P.A.R.E.) within 6 months prior to commencement with Alberta Health Services. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a within Alberta Health Services Protective Services, proven leadership and mentoring skill sets, well establish knowledge of Peace Officer authorities and how they apply to the position, proven competency with CCC 494 arrest procedures, understanding of emergency procedure within the context of Alberta Health Services, thorough understanding of the Alberta Mental Health Act. Successful candidate must have a valid PARE time of 4:45 or less.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with two years or more post-secondary education in a law enforcement or criminal justice discipline, have experience in a health care environment, completed ICS-100 and or 200.
