Required Qualifications:

A degree in nursing, clinical engineering, biomedical engineering, and applicable healthcare experience or a background as a healthcare equipment planner, healthcare furnishings planner with additional advanced education and healthcare experience, is required. A proven track record with three or more years of experience managing multi-disciplinary staff. Understanding of clinical & medical terminology. Understanding of clinical practice and patient care within a healthcare environment. Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications. Strong computing, communication and writing skills. Experience with managing staffing resources in a project environment as well as experience with engaging construction project teams is essential. Knowledge and understanding of construction practices specific to health facility construction. This position is required to travel to healthcare projects throughout the province. Working out of the local area for short period or consecutive days is also required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong work ethic and positive attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a proven ability to lead by example and motivate a project team.


Preferred Qualifications:

Strong technical knowledge associated with clinical, diagnostic, imaging and IT equipment would be an asset. A background in project management as well as a formal PMP designation is a definite asset.
