Required Qualifications:

Competition of a Baccalaureate Degree in a related health field. Master’s degree is an asset. Three to five years’ experience in a management or professional practice leadership position in a related health field with progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment. Knowledge of Public Health, Maternal Child Health, Primary Health Care and Canadian Health Systems. Experience in program planning, implementation, evaluation and working in partnerships in community-based services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills. Broad knowledge and understanding of health systems and professional health disciplines. Experience in the development and administration of budgets, quality assurance and risk assessments. Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively across sectors. This position is located at or out of Plaza 124 in the Edmonton Zone.


Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in Public Health and/or maternal/child health.
