Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. You are able to utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impacts, and arriving at sound conclusions, seeking counsel when appropriate to effectively plan treatments and discharges from hospital. You can work independently and as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. You are a reliable worker who is flexible in using their time effectively by prioritizing competing tasks. You have effective teaching skills for students and other professionals. Applicants with AHS or Covenant Health experience and unrestricted practice permits are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Provisional licenses with the college will be considered but general license preferred. Recent experience in Alberta Health Services acute care setting preferred. Skills and knowledge in the areas of chronic disease management, dementia, hip fractures and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation are an asset. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Netcare, Outlook and other electronic medical records are preferred.
