Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) through Heart & Stroke Foundation. Recent clinical experience in chronic disease management with adult populations. Recent defined as “within the last two years”. Recent clinical experience working in a community setting. Recent defined as “within the last two years”. Recent clinical experience working with adult neurological populations. Recent defined as “within the last two years”. Previous exposure to work within a patient-centred, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals. Demonstrated ability to maintain own competence through ongoing self-education & postgraduate training. Ability to communicate clear and understandable directions in a clinical environment to colleagues, patients, & caregivers/families.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience facilitating groups. Experience working with Therapy Assistants & interest in optimizing role of Therapy Assistants. Experience working with clinical applications such as SCM, Netcare, IMPAX, Millennium Scheduler, e-Critical, InfoMed. Experience working with software applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, Powerpoint. Familiarity with short term disability, long term disability, return to work processes & paperwork.
