Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) required. Recent experience within the last two years in the care of pediatric clients with the ability to implement appropriate strategies for treatment in gross motor development issues, positioning and muscle tone, and neurodevelopment; AADL Authorizations with knowledge of pediatric specific equipment and environmental adaptations; Use of pediatric standardized assessment tools to determine unmet needs and care planning. Comprehensive understanding of developmental milestones. Must be able to work in different settings and environments (home environments and weather conditions), as well as be able to lift and carrying professional bags, which weigh approximately 15-30 lbs. Able to bend, pull, lift, and perform variable movements and position changes from sitting on floor doing activities with children, families, and colleagues to working at desk/computer for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years current Physical therapy practice and 1 recent year in Home Living as a case manager is preferred. McMaster Case Management training and understanding of the AHS Continuing Care Case Management Competency Framework. Computer knowledge/skills including Meditech and Outlook, and strong interpersonal skills are assets. Knowledge of the principles of adult learning is an asset. Knowledge of pediatric community resources and programs.
