Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Prior hospital Pharmacy experience with a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to drug selection, checking, daily unit dose filling, narcotics handling, and sterile compounding is required. Prior experience (minimum 2 years) in large acute care hospital pharmacy setting is required. Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work both in teams and independently. Demonstrated computer or word processing skills and previous experience with VAX computer system is required. Committed to continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

Membership with a Pharmacy/Pharmacy Technician professional advocacy organization is preferred. Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a recognized school is an asset.
