Required Qualifications:

Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Additional Required Qualifications:

2 or more years’ experience and recent certification (within the past 12 months) in sterile compounding required. Ability to work to the full scope of a Pharmacy Technician is required. Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work in teams. Demonstrated computer or word processing skills. Prior hospital experience with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to computer order entry and sterile compounding.

Preferred Qualifications:

Membership with a pharmacy professional organization. Previous experience in a Clinical Support Technician Role. 2 or more years’ experience and recent (within the past 12 months) certification preparing oncology products. 2 or more years’ experience and recent experience within hospital pharmacy. 2 or more years’ experience in non-sterile compounding. 2 or more years’ experience with BDM pharmacy computer order entry system.
