Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years in a hospital pharmacy role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. License(s), Certificate(s), Professional Membership(s): A minimum of Registered Pharmacy Technician with Alberta College of Pharmacists. A valid Driver's license.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies: Progressive leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy environment. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver customer –focused results. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with staff, public agencies, committees and other partners. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.


Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of local communities within North West service area an asset. Meditech knowledge an asset. 5 years of experience in a management role in hospital pharmacy is preferred.
