Required Qualifications:

Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of a hospital residency. Experience in direct patient care environment within the previous 5 years. Has, or demonstrates a plan to obtain, Additional Prescribing Authority with the Alberta College of Pharmacists. Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and to effectively contribute to patient care. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change. Ability to translate complex concepts into understandable components. Demonstrated abilities in coaching, teaching, inspiring and building confidence in others. Experience and knowledge regarding best pharmacist practice, within Alberta and throughout Canada is essential to understanding and positioning Pharmacy from a clinical perspective. Proven leadership abilities and an understanding of concepts of adult learning. Demonstrated abilities in research and/or scholarly activity. Ability to prioritize workload and multiple projects on an ongoing basis to meet the needs of a dynamic work environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Project management skills in order to plan, develop and implement new programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years or more of clinical experience is an asset. Membership with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists. Proven ability to foster partnerships with stakeholders inside and outside of Pharmacy. Ability to think in abstract concepts related to the future provision of pharmacy practice.
